Section 11. It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all meetings of this Local Union, to preserve order, to enforce the Constitution and By-Laws, to see that all officers and committees perform their respective duties, and to appoint all committees not otherwise provided for by the laws of the Amalgamated Transit Union. The President shall have the power to fine any member who disrupts the meeting fifty dollars ($50), subject to an appeal, to the meeting, at which the ruling was made. He/she shall decide all questions of order, subject to the approval ofthe Local Union. When a tie vote is cast he/she shall have the deciding vote. He/she shall announce the results of all votes.

He/she shall call special meetings when requested by one-third (1/3) of the members in writing or when a majority of the Executive Board believe that an emergency situation exists. Notice of said meeting shall be posted on all bulletin boards ofthis Local Union, at least twenty-four (24) hours before said meeting.

The President shall act as Business Agent. He/she shall sign all orders on the Treasury for any and all monies as the International Laws of the Association may require and by the Constitution and By-Laws of Local Union 732, or by the vote of this Local Union when ordered paid. He/she shall furnish bond in such amounts as the Local Union may from time to time require, in accordance with the General Laws.

He/she shall act as Chairperson at all Executive Board Meetings and perform such other duties as the Constitution and General Laws or By-Laws of this Local Union may require. At the expiration of his/her term of office he/she shall tum over to his/her successor in office all records, papers, books, keys, or other property of this Local Union that he/she may have in his/her possession.

The President shall appoint the delegate to the Atlanta Labor Council, AFL-CIO. They shall make their reports to the Local Union, and attend all meetings ofsaid Labor Council and be governed by the General Laws of the Amalgamated Transit Union, or the General Laws ofthe Atlanta Labor Council.
